Michaela Ekowo, Manager, Finance and Operations

Previously, Maya served as a consultant for the American Heart Association, a health equity and accessibility nonprofit, as well as Alkermes, a biopharmaceutical company. In these roles, she analyzed and visualized data and devised strategic recommendations to foster organizational growth and explore new areas of focus.

Maya has interned at the City of San Diego in the Mayor’s Office and Performance & Analytics Department, supporting community engagement efforts, economic policy research, and technology development and user experience projects. She also worked with UC San Diego’s Center for Educational Equity (CREATE), organizing events and implementing programs in partnership with local schools and community non-profits.

She aims to build a career that combines her passions for driving positive social change, data analysis, and strategic development. Maya looks forward to supporting ICM’s mission and is eager to deepen her understanding of the impact investing space this summer.
