Kamal Cheema, Analyst, Communications & Policy
Kamal Cheema joined Impact Capital Managers as a Policy and Communications Analyst in January 2025.
Prior to ICM, Kamal served as the Public Affairs Manager at Jukebox, a music/tech startup dedicated to democratizing music investing and making it accessible to the general public. In this role, he spearheaded strategic communication initiatives to elevate the brand and strengthen stakeholder engagement. Kamal developed messaging guides to align with the company's vision, secured speaking opportunities at key industry events, and managed a PR portfolio focused on brokerage communications and technology. He also successfully pitched media stories, earning positive coverage and refining PR processes to enhance media engagement.
Before joining JKBX, Kamal was a Public Policy Graduate Intern at Robinhood, where he facilitated partnerships with universities to expand the Robinhood Money Drills program—an initiative aimed at improving financial literacy and well-being for students and student-athletes. Additionally, he supported internal and external communications for new product launches through various channels, including fact sheets, blog posts, and presentations.
Kamal's past experience also includes working at Cerrell, a boutique public affairs agency, and interning on Capitol Hill in the U.S. Senate.
He holds a Master of Public Policy degree from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science/Data Analytics from UC San Diego.
