Justin MacLennan, Analyst, Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) & Research

Justin MacLennan joined the Impact Capital Managers team in September 2024 to support ICM's research and impact measurement and management projects.

Before joining ICM, Justin completed co-ops at Wellington Management and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC). At Wellington, he contributed to the climate team, focusing on climate change risk and opportunity assessment for existing and prospective investments at the firm. Justin also helped originate and research prospective investments for a climate resilience themed portfolio. At MassCEC, Justin largely focused on promoting and overseeing state-funded decarbonization campaigns, primarily for residential/commercial solar.

Justin graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University in May 2024, studying Economics and Environmental Studies. At NEU, Justin participated in the honors program, granting him the opportunity to complete a month-long climate science mission to Tanzania, and a semester abroad at the Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. Throughout his coursework, he wrote perspective pieces focusing on the intersections of sustainability and economics, which were published in academic journals.

Outside of work, Justin plays hockey and tennis. He enjoys spending time outside skiing, fishing and hiking.
