KRISTEN MOREE, 2022 Mosaic Fellow
Kristen is an MBA candidate at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, where she is studying finance and social entrepreneurship while serving as co-chair of CASEi3 Initiative on Impact Investing. From nearly a decade of working across the global impact investing and agricultural development space, Kristen developed the wholehearted belief that the ecological health of our natural and working landscapes is inextricably linked to the socioeconomic well-being of the rural farming communities that care for them. Kristen’s experience prior to business school focused on building solutions to these intersectional challenges in land use, food systems and financial inclusion. She began her career working for a community development social enterprise in Ghana, went on to design and facilitate accelerator programs for underserved entrepreneurs in emerging markets for Pearson Affordable Learning Fund while living in South Africa and India, led sourcing and due diligence for Village Capital, and spent four years at Bio-Logical Capital managing strategy consulting projects across the regenerative land use and agricultural value chains before finally landing at business school. She is excited to continue growing her knowledge of impact finance in the climate, food and social equity space with SJF Ventures this summer.
